Sunday, July 4, 1999 - Departure Day
We had to first take Seth to the airport to catch his flight to Boston. Seth was participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine on recommendation from one of his teachers. He had an 10:55 flight on Delta. We stayed with him until he boarded then left for Sanford. We checked in and then headed over to the Seminole Town Center for lunch at the food court. We boarded at 2:30 and our WDW vacation was over. (Elana was funny cause all the way home she kept demanding that we turn the train around. Then, when we got to Lorton, she suggested we stay on for the return trip. When that didn't work, she tried to get us to turn the car around. I think she finally gave in to the reality once we pulled into our driveway.)
Final Thoughts
 | Apparently, wheelchair users aren’t a privileged lot anymore, which I think is good. It cuts down the abuse of wheelchairs in order to avoid lines. However, as has recently been discussed on the DVC board, I can imagine some cases wear people in wheelchairs still need special considerations in order to avoid waiting in line. They need some special identification to help CMs make that determination. | ||||||||||
| Driving - I found we used our car a lot this trip. Not so much because I had any problems with the bus transportation, but because I found going from park to park made it much easier. Plus, using my car made me feel more independent. | ||||||||||

| There is no middle ground with the Florida weather. It is either rainy or it’s hot. Sometimes it’s rainy and hot. | ||||||||||
| The Pooh ride is cute, but I’m not sure it’s worth a long wait. | ||||||||||
| On the other hand, Kali River Rapids is way too short. | ||||||||||
| We only ran into the famed Brazil tour groups once, on test track. The group was a bunch of teenage girls that were harmless enough. We did notice that there were a lot of foreign tourists this trip. | ||||||||||
| You really don’t need the priority seating for Fantasmic. Both times we got there 45 minutes before the show and there were plenty of seats. Plus, the entertainment keeps you occupied while waiting for Fantasmic to start. | ||||||||||
| Tarzan Rocks! while an entertaining show, doesn’t have the personality that Lion King has. | ||||||||||
| E-Ride nights are a real treat and a great way to ride the most popular rides in the Magic Kingdom, but I don’t see why Astro orbiter is one of the nine rides. |
