Day 2 - July 2, 2003

We were all tired from the late night before, so we slept until 8:15am.  When you share a room with three females and one bathroom, it's take a while to get going, so we didn't get out of the room until 10:00.  Instead of eating at the Pepper market and wasting more time, we decided to go directly to EPCOT and get something to eat there.  There were a lot of people at the bus stop, and I get the feeling some of them were waiting for a while.  I couldn't complain, since the EPCOT bus came within 10 minutes. Judy and Elana went to Test Track to get fast passes, while Sara and I went ahead to the Wonders of Life. Here is where not keeping up with the changes in WDW can come back to bite you in the ass.  The last time we were in WDW, which was in 2000, Pure and Simple had bagels and cream cheese. This time we got there to a rude realization that the menu had changed and they were serving mostly lunch items, none of which we could eat.  We ended up ordering ice cream and sharing a fruit and cheese platter for breakfast.  This will teach me that no matter how many times you go to WDW and how well you think you know your way around, to always check for changes.

The fast passes were for 4:30 and they included fast passes for Honey, I Shrunk the Audience too. So, after eating, we took in Cranium Command and then The Making of Me, something we haven't seen in ages.  I forgot how young Martin Short was when he made that.  Next, we went to the Universe of Energy (I'll take Energy for $1000, Alex).  By the time we got out, it was after 1:00. so we headed over to Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. They've changed the pre-show! No more True Colors!  I   liked that so much better.  After getting out of HISTA, we still had time to kill before Test Track, so we rode Journey Into Your Imagination once more and the kids spent some time in Image Works.  How do they make that butterfly disappear?  We finished off with Test Track and then headed out to the monorail to get to the Contemporary Inn for dinner at Chef Mickey.

I was starting to have problems with blisters, so Judy went off to buy me moleskin while we waited for our table.  We were seated at a table right next to the entrance to the seating area on the right, something I won't do again.  There was too much activity by us and it made it difficult to move around.  After dinner, I decided to go back to the room and rest, while the girls went back to Magic Kingdom.  We took the monorail and I switched to a bus for Coronado Springs.
