Thursday, June 29, 2000 - Day 2

Judy and I woke up at 7:00am and got ready before waking the kids up at 8:00am.  We drove to the Pepper Market and had breakfast.  We had our first hard lesson in the refillable cups. We couldn't use our Dixie Landing cups.  The CM told us that Pepper Market was not Disney owned, so they didn't partake in the program. They had their own cups that we could only use there.  We passed.

We went to the bus stop to catch the bus to EPCOT.  It came just as we arrived at the stop.  The first thing we did when we arrived was to look for our pictures on the Legacy Wall.  Test Track was down, but we grabbed some Fast Passes anyway and went over to the Universe of Energy. We got there just as the preshow was starting.  After UOE, we headed to World Showcase.  It started raining, so we went inside to Millenium Village and spent some time there. From there we went to France and Impressions de France.  When we came out, it was still raining, so we walked over to American Adventure.  By the time we got it it had stopped raining. We grabbed one of the Friendship boats from Morocco and headed back to our Fast Pass time at Test Track.  We finally found a fast ride that Judy liked! Maybe it was because I wasn't driving.

After Test Track we went over to Wonders of Life for a snack. We then let the kids spend some time in Innoventions, while I just found a bench and relaxed for a while.  Afterwards, we grabbed the boat back to the Beach Club and met my parents, who had just arrived, at Cape May for dinner.

After dinner, we hopped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  One of the stops was the Boardwalk and as we approached, we could see flashing lights all over the place.  The roads to it were closed. There were camera crews and even a helicopter!  We didn't know what was going on until later when we learned of a hostage situation in the hotel involving a man, his ex-wife and his daughter.
